“Practice sustainable holistic farming principles which encompass and are inclusive of social, environmental and economic aspects.”

It is interesting to note that in 2004 when we first became interested in the concept of finishing grassfed beef, it was a challenge to find resources because there was little awareness, support and encouragement available.  We were going against the grain of conventional farming practices.  For us it was beliefs in doing something that seemed like the right thing to do and those beliefs gave us the perseverance to research and study on how to practice holistic grass farming.  We have learned much by trial and error over the years and continue to seek information on holistic farming.  There is one thing for sure we know and that is we love grass farming because of the absolute simplicity of it.

We appreciate the quote that the act of eating is inherently a political one.  For our customers to seek us out and purchase our grassfed beef is a voice saying they want to know where their meat came from and exactly how it was raised which empowers them to make informed choices.  We believe well informed customers have an amazing influence on impacting our food system.  The sustainable local food movement is a force and gaining momentum that will be a part of history and we are proud that we were one of the pioneers in our small community.
